Enjoy a little eye candy
I documented our 2016 Christmas a little differently this year. Instead of posing my kids in front of the tree, I just let them be and captured them just as they are. I’m so happy I did it this way! They didn’t fuss or feel uncomfortable, they just played as usual and I was able capture their unique personalities. In the end, we were all happy and now I have the perfect Christmas images of my kids.
We started with the traditional Christmas PJ pictures. You can still have traditions, just have them in a personal way!
SO cute, right?!
Then there was the days and evenings of anticipation….
We took them to see Santa but that was a no-go. Only lap they were sitting on was mine.
And then, the big day was here!
Christmas Morning. I sat my tripod up, attached my camera with a timer and we enjoyed our Christmas morning as usual while my camera did all the work. Now this was my first year doing this, next year I plan on organizing it a little better. There were a lot of butt shots that didn’t make the cut.
Here’s where I took over…
And thats all. Christmas documentary success!
So we started a new Christmas tradition! Every year we will be cutting down our own tree and documenting it. The kids were too little the past couple years to drag them out in the cold but not that their both on their feet and running, we’ll be back year after year! We all loved it.
